Reducing Lighting Energy Consumption
Did you know that lighting accounts for 17% of global power consumption
(source The Economist) so changing to a more efficient lighting
solution could drastically reduce your carbon footprint.
In Ireland, each KWh generated
causes 549g of carbon to be
emitted (in the
UK, DEFRA estimated the figure at 527g in
2005). So by using our
Convert T8 Fluorescents to T5 Refit Kits
to half your energy consumption you could have a significant
effect on your carbon footprint (for example a typical multi
storey car park would reduce its carbon footprint by 63 tonnes
a year just by switching from T8 to T5 lamps).
